We headed to my parents house in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving 2012.    The crew that made it this year included Grandma, Cindy, Mom & Dad, Connie & Merle, Andrew & DeAnna, Kelly & Dan & Duke, Kathy & Lisa, and Kevin and myself.

Ok, I'll admit I'm not a die hard Madonna fan, but she's a music icon and when she came to town last month, a group of 12 gals from work decided to buy concert tickets and make a fun night out.    We had decent tickets for the show when we found out we had won a sweepstakes (that we didn't know we had even entered).   We won two additional tickets, and they weren't just front row tickets, they were Golden Triangle tickets!  This is a special area that is actually inside the stage.  Britt and I were fortunate enough to go down the the Golden Triangle where we were 5 feet from Madge herself!

Whether you like her or not, the woman can sing!  She can also put on a show!  She's in her 50's and this woman has more energy than a teenager.      Overall a fun night with some great ladies!

Backtracking to October...  Dominick came with me to work where we host our annual Fall Festival for  the community.   He helped volunteer while we gave away over 800 pumpkins to the community as well as treat bags, donuts, cider, and coffee.  We also collected food shelf donations.   Dominick was so helpful, as he'd make sure the pumpkins were all lined up and organized as well as handing out treat bags to the little ones.  It's a nice way to give back to the community as well as a fun Saturday morning.

We celebrated with Dominick last weekend with cake and Dominick made his dad a Vikings mug.  Now that we live in a divided home (Packer v. Viking) I'll have to find room for Purple and Gold in our cupboards.  Happy Birthday!

Tuesday, October 23, 2012 Wedding!

The first week in October we flew to Hawaii and tied the knot!

It was bittersweet because we did not have our loved ones with us, but at the same time it was simple and special … just the way we wanted it!   We got married on a beautiful beach on Friday October 5, 2012.   Our wedding/honeymoon vacation was a wonderful time and we have great memories that will last a lifetime.   We have official wedding photos that we will get sometime in November to share.  Until then, here are a few of our favorite pictures. 

Monday, October 22, 2012 September Birthdays

In September we celebrate two birthdays.  Dominick turned 10 years old (double digits!!). 

Kevin even baked me a cake for my third 29th birthday ;).  Dominick and I share consecutive birthdays on 9/11 and 9/12, which makes for a fun month for Dad!
